Suljhaoo is a business management platform for small and medium-sized businesses across India, developed and operated by Valantech Solutions Private Limited (“Valantech”, “we”, “us”, “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have — including how to delete your account and associated data.
This policy applies to the Suljhaoo mobile application (Android and iOS), our website at www.suljhaoo.com, and related services. By registering for or using Suljhaoo, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to provide and improve the Suljhaoo service. We do not sell your data and do not use it for third-party advertising or profiling.
1.1 Information you provide
- Account details: name, 10-digit mobile number, password (stored in hashed form), and optional email address
- Business and store data: store name, address, settings, sales, expenses, cash balances, inventory, udhar/credit records, customer and supplier details, staff records, invoices, and reports you create in the app
- Support communications: information you send when contacting us for help
- Subscription and payment: plan selection and payment status. Payment card or UPI details are processed directly by our payment partner (Cashfree) — we do not store full card numbers on our servers
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and session data: device identifier, device name, operating system/platform, app version, login sessions, and push notification token (FCM) to deliver alerts you enable
- Usage data: basic logs needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service (for example, API requests, error reports, and feature usage tied to your account)
1.3 Optional device permissions
Some features request device permissions only when you use them. You can deny permissions; the related feature may not work without them:
- Contacts: only if you choose to import a phone number from your address book when adding a customer or supplier. We do not upload or store your full contact list
- Bluetooth and location: used locally on your device to discover and connect to receipt printers. Location is not used to track where you are and is not stored for that purpose
- Storage / files: to save or open invoices, reports, or documents you choose to export or upload
- Notifications: to send transactional alerts (for example, reminders) if you allow push notifications
2. How we use your information
We use collected information solely to:
- Create and manage your account and authenticate sign-in
- Provide core features: bookkeeping, inventory, udhar/credit, reports, printing, and subscription access
- Process subscription payments through our payment partner
- Send service-related SMS (such as OTP for login/sign-up) and push notifications you opt into
- Respond to support requests and improve reliability
- Detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Comply with applicable law
We do not use your personal or business data for advertising, selling to data brokers, or building third-party marketing profiles.
3. How we share information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or business data. We share information only in these limited cases:
- Service providers who help us run Suljhaoo under contract and confidentiality obligations, including:
- Cloud hosting and storage (servers located in India)
- Cashfree — subscription and payment processing
- Google Firebase — push notification delivery (FCM)
- SMS providers — one-time passwords and transactional messages
- Legal requirements: when required by valid court order, law, or government authority
- Business transfer: in a merger or acquisition, subject to equivalent privacy protections
Third-party services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them when you interact with payment checkout or other integrated services.
4. Data retention
We retain your account and business data only for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. While your account is open, your data is stored on secured servers in India so you can access your records.
When you delete your account, your data is removed from our active systems immediately. We do not keep copies for marketing, analytics, or unrelated backup purposes after deletion. We may retain only the minimum records required by applicable law (for example, payment or tax compliance for a limited statutory period), after which those records are deleted as well.

To request deletion, email contact@valantech.in with the subject Account deletion request and your registered mobile number. We will verify your identity and process the request promptly.
6. Data security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational safeguards — including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls — to protect your information. Passwords are stored using industry- standard hashing. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
The Suljhaoo mobile app does not use cookies. Our website uses only essential cookies and local storage for session management and authentication. We do not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies on the web platform.
8. Children
Suljhaoo is intended for adults operating businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided information through our platform, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your rights
Depending on applicable law (including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, where applicable), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate personal data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
- Lodge a complaint with a relevant data protection authority

10. International transfers
Your data is stored and processed primarily on servers located in India. Some service providers (for example, Google Firebase for push notifications) may process limited technical data on infrastructure outside India under contractual safeguards. We do not transfer your business records for unrelated processing abroad.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Suljhaoo after an update means you accept the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
